Award winning poet and author holds conversation as answers questions at King library.
Dr. Sandra Gilbert will be speaking at the Martin Luther King Library on April 15th. I will attend the event and interview Gilbert as well as other attendees.
There is allot of information about Gilbert on wikipedia as well as her personal website. There are also books of hers on Google Book Search.

Josh Buswell-Charkow, ForestEthics organizer, will speak about the threats to California's forestes presented by archaic logging methods.
The event will take place on April 14th at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library.

I havent picked a single event or focus yet, but I would like to do a story on some aspect of Cal DAy 2009.

Story 1 and Story 2
ReplyDeleteStory 1 is current and informational. Today's society regards green as hip. Big college names are good attention-getters as well.
Story 2 can turn out well if this author has some well-known awards under her belt. The MLK is also a locale that can draw attention to your article. Plus, this one sounds like you can grab many interviews to make your story well-rounded.

ReplyDeleteThey are two names that not many people have heard of but still offer so much. It would be nice to highlight both of them.
Story 1 and story 4. Story 1 because it would be a nice alternative to see photographic and video journalism contribute to your article and story 5 because I it would be interesting to hear 'why we are not our brains'.
